These crops are strategically chosen and managed, offering substantial advantages to farmers by focusing on soil and ecosystem benefits. The positive impacts include preventing soil erosion, suppressing weed growth, alleviating soil compaction, increasing soil organic matter, refining soil structure, augmenting soil water-holding capacity, and optimizing nutrient cycling. Join the celebrations for Kalala’s 13th anniversary

Join us on July 18th from 10am to 6pm to celebrate Kalala’s 13th Anniversary! We are so grateful for marking 13th year of the opening of our winery. 2020 was a remarkably difficult year for most of us. However, we have received so many supports from both local customers dropping by the winery and customers from outside of BC supporting through online. Thanks to all of your love and support, we were not only able to keep producing our wine but received Viticulturist of the Year last year!  To celebrate our anniversary together, we invited Dosa Crepe Caffe Food Truck on our site! Dosa Crepe Cafe is Kelowna’s south Indian cuisine restaurant, blending a fusion between south Indian Dosa, and French crepes!

West Kelowna Chardonnay Shines Again on World Stage

A West Kelowna winery has earned one more world-class medal to add to an already impressive record of excellence. At the 2018 Chardonnay du Monde® competition, held in France March 7 to 9, Kalala Organic Estate Winery’s 2016 Chardonnay Icewine won second place among 679 competitors from 39 wine-producing countries. This year’s Chardonnay top gold medal was awarded to Liquidity Estate Winery in neighboring Okanagan Falls. Kalala’s Chardonnay Icewine was judged number one in 2016 and placed in the top 10 worldwide in 2010 and 2014. A West Kelowna winery is feeling proud following their win at the Chardonnay du Monde® competition, held from March 8th to 11th in France. Kalala Organic Estate Winery has placed in the Top 10 twice before (2010 and 2014), but this year marks their biggest win yet.
