This Kalala signature aromatic blend has a tropical nose and palate, full of ripe passion fruit, grapefruit and guava with just a hint of minerality. It is just slightly off dry with vibrant acidity and a lingering finish. Great sipping wine or try with some light snacks.
A blend of: Pinot Gris 45%, Gewürztraminer 30%, Riesling 15% and Auxerrois 10%. Each varietal in this fruit-forward blend was fermented separately with a specific yeast in stainless steel to ensure that the varietals’ unique characteristics were preserved. After the wines were finished, we went through extensive blending trials with the Kalala team to achieve the perfectly-balanced wine.
The majority of the varietals came from Kalala’s Westbank Vineyard and some of the Riesling and Gewürztraminer came from Chandra Vineyard in Oliver. The grapes reached optimal ripeness and were picked between Oct 10th and 21st depending on the specific ripeness of each Varietal.
