A very “old world”-style Cabernet with ripe fruit, robust tannins, and great weight on the palate. Age-worthy for at least 3-5 years.
These high-quality grapes were grown in the Paulson Vineyard in Osoyoos. This vineyard enjoys South-Western exposure and extended evening sunlight. The nearby lake creates a micro-climate which helps to prevent frost from prevailing in the vineyard until later in the year.
Aged 24 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels, all medium toast, about 30% new, the rest 1 and 2 years old. Grapes were pruned fairly aggressively for the highest quality in the berries.
