Aromas and flavours of currant, black cherry, plum, clove, and peppercorn. Long, smoky finish with sweet wood and vanilla.
The grapes are from our Hwy 97 vineyard in Oliver, in the Golden Mile area. With a South-Eastern exposure, the vineyards get hot days and cooler night temperatures which help to maintain the balance between sugar and acid.
Aged 30 months in new Odysé (American oak) barrels, medium and medium+ toast. Grapes picked in two batches. First batch a bit higher acid lower pH, more fruity notes, the second batch a bit higher insugar and lower in acid, for the better mouth feel
