Dostana, meaning “friendship,” is a small batch, single-vineyard wine brand produced by Kalala Organic Estate Winery. Dostana wines are anything but traditional, offering a unique expression of classic varietals. Exclusive by nature, organic by choice, the ever-evolving style, intricacy, and experimentation of these lively wines vary with each unique vintage.

The soil in the Dostana vineyards provides fantastic growing conditions to ensure our grapes are grown with excellent concentration of flavour.

The Okanagan climate and our organic viticulture practices ensure that our grapes are harvested at the ideal balance of acidity and sugar level. Dostana wines are made from a small plot of 35-year-old vines in West Kelowna. A cool spring means a slow start but a hot summer and long fall gives the berries plenty of time to fully ripen. The yield is kept to just two tons per acre by aggressive bunch thinning to maintain high-quality fruit. This is followed by hand harvesting at the end of October, resulting in some of the finest organic grapes in the valley.
